Critters order

My tank has been up for 6 months and I just dont have it as clean as id like as far as aglea goes. No problems to speak of but I always have a little and I know im short on the clean up crew so I think ill place an order. Im not sure where to get them or what im getting but if anyone wants to hop on let me know. Im in no great hurry, its just that the 8 or so old turbos in a 120 gallon tank is a little lite for the job. I havent ever realy cared for crabs but I want this tank to be sparkling clean so whats everyone think the best clean up crew is? What kind of crabs and snails does everyone like?
 
I would be interested in getting some cleanup crew stuff. Just let me know when you are ready. I am not real sure what the perfect cleanup crew is but what I do is look at what allot of other sites sell for a pre made crew then take some ideas from a few sites then make my own crew. Seemed to work for me before.
 
yea diversity is what im going for.. I never liked crabs but I think Im going to get a few scarlett's and an emerald or 2. At least 10 more turbos and 10 each of the cerith and nass. Maybe 2 or 3 mexican turbos to.
 
Be sure to get critters that match the type of algae you have and where it's growing. Emeralds generally only eat bubble algae (some say they will eat hair algae, but I've never had one that would), so if you don't have any bubble algae.

I like ceriths for the glass, turbos for glass and rock, fighting conch for sand. I like a good mix of dwarf hermits for the rocks. I do have a slight issue with bubble algae, so I also keep an emerald crab.
 
Just a word of warning don't get them from swf.com!! They don't ship snails in water, and the hermits had very little. Out of the 50 crabs I got only 20 lived!! However the snails seemed to make it, I just don't really like the idea of no water?!?
 
I've ordered cleaners from SWF.com several times, and they always ship them like that. I've never had a problem.
 
Every time I've ever ordered snails or hermits anywhere, they only have wet paper towels or newspaper. Only Emeralds came in water. Maybe they just got cold??
 
Jerry, it says those eat hair algae... any experience with that?? My reds, blues, and scarlets dont touch the stuff. If so I might be interested in 10 or so
 
Any day I can order. Just kinda waiting to see who all wants to order anything with me. I was looking at www.etropicals.com for the order. I also looked at SWF but last I checked they didnt have most of what I wanted. I guess since its Thursday and not going to order for a weekend delivery Ill place the order on Monday for a Tuesday delivery. Any one that wants anything let me know this weekend. Shipping is free over $60 and I come real close to that my self so its kinda already free. Let me know.
 
Hmm.. I'm not sure why all my cleaners died from SWF? They didn't get cold, I was home for delivery and the heat pack was still warm. I went on their message boards and there are lots of people who have had the same problems.

My critter orders from liveaquaria always had water, and I think I only had 1 or 2 die from them. Maybe I just had an isolated incident with SWF.

If come monday etropicals has what i want in stock then ill go with them. If not im not sure.
