Lately, my pair of Cross Hatched Triggers have been acting strangely. The male will turn brighter yellow than usual, his face would turn grayer than usual, he will swim sideways, swimming into the front of the tank like he is going to eat me and my female starting eating corals, nipping at clams, and basically being bad tank mates. The fish go to the bottom of the tank and blow sand around as well.
I spoke to a friend in the wholesale fish business and told him what was happening. To know surprise, he told me the fish where trying to spawn. I was always told that except for a few fish like clown fish, fish would not spawn in captivity. Well that's not always true. I just hope that the fish don't destroy my aquarium until they are back to normal.
