Crosshatch male on DD today

I get the DD sneak peek as I'm sure most others do and noticed a male crosshatch on the list! Whoever snags this guy is one lucky SOB! Not sure i can bring myself to spend 8-900$ on trigger right now

I've bought lots of stuff on DD and have always been extremely pleased. However, I have no idea who would pay that kind of money for a Male Crosshatch. I got one from my LFS a year ago for $375. Approximately 12" in length. Awesome reef safe wet pet though.

They're popular with a lot of aquarists. For me, they get too big and I'd bet they produce a lot of waste. Seems many people have found them reef safe though.

They've had some nice fish this week. Pair of earlei wrasses up too. I nabbed a pair of girdled wrasses earlier this week.

I'm not ready to spend the big bucks on livestock, but that fish has awesome coloration! Maybe once I can get a 2-300 gallon tank, but not until then.

Great looking CH but price for 1 male that size seems a bit steep. Now if they had one 1/2 that size....?

I like the Harlequin too,,but this tusk is pretty cool too and not often seen like the Harlequins are

they were very hard to feed...larvae needs live food smaller that 50-60 mics...though some time has passed maybe they have made progress....they were raised 8/11...would be great to see (and queens who were the 1st trig captive bred) tank bred trigs in the hobby...

This always makes me laugh. It's little more than a few days with a dozen other fish in a bare tank being fed little more than brine shrimp. It's something compared to other places, but not a whole lot.

not is simply not always the case- some livestock- esp. sensitive fish spend a long time there in qt before being released to us...my Bandit was there for 2-3months, my outrigger and Cinereus trigs were there for 3 months...and the fish go thru a very specific qt protocol...and a male ch is a very sensitive fish...and if the fish doesn't look ready to ship- they wont ship it...many of us have gotten calls from KK's office saying the fish is not ready to go we need more time..

I've also gotten emails telling me what sorts of copper and formalin treatments have been administered, and many of my fish spent many weeks at their facility before being shipped to me. Definitely not just a couple days of having brine shrimp thrown at them.
