Thanks for the comments! I'm happy with how I was able to show the difference in appearance between my daylight and actinic bulbs. I'll be sure to post some more updated shots in a couple months. Should really be filled in by then.

Happy New Year!
James

I think we're all lucky that our LFSs don't have a collection like yours.

None of us would have any money left. :D

lmao...thats what i was thinkin

LOL. Very funny!

Corals look top notch!
I really like the new bulb combo, very natural looking.

Nice job Cuna.................the second shots are with all lights on?

Thanks RM and BE! The second shots are with all lights on. I took the pics with a canon T2i. I'm still a newb when it comes to photography. The only change I made is to the white balance. I have the white balance set to "Cloudy". The bulbs are

3 Geissman Midday
3 ATI Aquablue
2 ATI Actinic

Happy New Year!
James

James, your tank makes me wonder what I'm doing wrong. I have several of the same coral, but nowhere near the colors. I have NEVER seen a german blue polyp and miami orchid look as beautiful as yours. What do you attribute the most to your amazing colors?

I am going to try the neomarine salt like you, I have 8 bulb t5 (different bulbs than you). Do you dose 2 part or calcium reactor? Maybe I should look into zeo products.

Happy New Year to you! Look forward to future pictures.

Happy New Year to you as well, Triguy!

You will absolutely love the Neomarine salt. I wont ever switch to another brand. You can get the best deal on the salt from Drs. Foster Smith. I use it primarily for the high potassium content.

I dose kalkwasser and calcium chloride in conjunction with a 6x24 GEO Calcium Reactor.

Zeo porducts work very well, but I cannot attribute all of my success to just Zeo alone. The colors are the result of a perfect harmony of nutrients, flow, lighting, and regular maintenance. If I were to attribute the most success to a single factor... it would have to be stability.

Warmest Regards,
James

I would like to know do you feed your sps and if so what and is it target feed?

Hey TBP,

Hope all is well!

I do feed my SPS. Reef Nutrition Oyster Feast every other night with some form of amino acid. I do not target feed at all. I mix the oyster feast in a cup of tank water and then dump it into the display.

Thanks and looking forward to hearing from you in the middle of January?

Hey James,

Everything is looking great. That tank is just sick with the amount of growth you get and the coloration you have. Great job.

I am very impressed by the display factor of this. At first it looks like a frag tank but if you let these grow as so that will be pretty incredible. Already is. Not to mention these are all top shelf coral in there. Going to follow along on this one.

BTW i didn't see it mentioned but why are the Maggie Muffers raised up like that on your stand pipes?

Thanks again for the kind comments everyone!

@Frick - The holes for the return were drilled too close to allow for the mufflers to be at the same height. I had to raise one up slightly higher than the others so I could use all three. They really aren't used for sound as much as they are for water splashing.
