I almost was going to try sand this time but nobody had enough in stock so BB it is!!
For vortech's theres 2 mp-60's on the left side and 3 mp-40's along the back glass. Once I'm done the tank will be viewable from the front and right side so I don't want to add anything to the right glass to obstruct the end view. So far the corals are happy but if need be I could add another mp-60 down the road.

You can see in some of the pics the big hole I cut in the wifes new wall, lol.
I don't think it can be classified as in-wall as it will look cosmetically different, being as big as it is tho it automatically looks to an in-wall tank no matter what.
It will be viewable from the front and right hand side opposite the window.
The room behind the tank is mine to use but being the utility room as well its already crowded!

It just looks from the photos like you are gonna seal in the bottom to the wall and you where talking about "rock".
I was wondering if you were gonna seal in the top area too. So all the noise and moisture etc. is open to the back utility room only.

yup I'm going to enclose the top with a canopy that opens into the utility room (front access will be a piano hinged door).
In a new house all the walls are hers!! Nothing gets rid of the new home smell like tearing down a wall!!lol
Who built your tank and what was the price on it? I am moving into a new house soon and want to do a similar build as yours. If you do not want to say the price on hear you can PM if you like.
I will be putting the tank on the back wall of our new dinning room with a closet under the stairs as my equipment room which is directly behind it.

It was built by Concept Aquatics in Calgary, Alberta. The cost was just under 3g.
Dining room would look great!! I'd recomend more than a closet for an equiptment room unless your closets 10fx10ft! I already wish I had more space, also definately a basement tank unless you really beef up the floor!

Incredible! It is insane how quickly you have been making progress. Love everything about this build. Corals look really happy in the new system! Keep up the good work, and thanks for taking the time to document your progress!
