d2mini's "Essential Focus" Mixed Reef Build

GEO's website says the foot print on the CR612 is 11" x 10". It doesn't look quite that big in your stand (excluding the CO2 tank of course). Would you agree with that foot print or do you think the main unit would fit in a smaller area? I'm trying to leave space down the road to add a reactor. Thx.

The space between my sump and front of the stand is 9.5".
I have it turned in such a way that it fits.

MY 10,000th POST UPDATE!

Tank is cruising along.
The calcium reactor is doing well. It kinda settled around the high 8's dkh, but I'm going to try to bring it down to around 8.0. I think my colors look a bit better there, with my low nutrients.

I do need to take some fish pics. I have several new ones.
Current list:

Davinci Clown
Perc Clown
Royal Gramma
Purple Tang
Blue Star Leopard Wrasse
Banggai Cardinal
Blue Reef Chromis
Springeri Damsel
Flame Hawkfish
Pygmy Angelfish
Female Bellus Angelfish
One Spot Foxface

No issues with the tank currently. It's been running post restart since April.
And it may be coincidence, but ever since i added the CaRx and stopped two-part dosing, the sandbed surface is staying cleaner.
I was getting a lot of rust brown algae on top.

Sorry for lack of pics. I'll post some new ones soon. :)

What are you using as a feed pump Dennis?

Sent from my VS996 using Tapatalk

For now I'm just using a little sicce pump.
I've had to keep the effluent running at a super fast drip, almost a steady stream.
Eventually I'll probably pick up the Spectra Pure ATO pump. Waiting to see what kind of black friday sales they might have. :)

Quick FTS.... almost 7 months since the reboot.

Looks great as usual. How are you liking the Artfully Acrylic top? I am anxiously awaiting mine to come in :spin1:

Thanks!
I'm not fond of screen tops, but for a screen top it's pretty nice. ;)

When I take it off for maintenance or whatever, I'm like "ahhhhh that looks so much better!"
But what are ya gonna do... i have a few jump-prone fish.

Looks awesome, Dennis. How did you find the maintenance on the Elos drain? Any particular PITA factor on clearing algae or other issues?

No maintenance on the drain at all really, other than maybe an occasional scrub with a toothbrush to the slots on the exterior.
It's probably been a few months since I've touched it.

I really like your low profile aquascape and tank reboot. Look forward to hearing more about your experience with Geo CA reactor and spectrapure pump.
