Look at the rebate for buying the system. I think its around $2.50 per watt.

Just got my bill today at it went from $230 (after last month's increase) to $270. After I paid the $230 bill i tried to cut consumption. But even after I slightly decreased my usage, my bill still went up $50. This sucks! Any group buys on the solar systems? I am seriously looking it. Might take down my prop setup for now. This hobby is a serious cash hog.

Our runs between 966 and 1272 KWH for 2 people, a 240 reef, 12 nano and 24 nano. We almost never run the heater or air conditioner.

How do you like the light mover? Does it save you any electricity?

Rick from what every one else tells me my eletric bill is way less the most people with a tank this size. If my bill keeps getting higher my wife may make me get rid of it. I am very happy with it, I also have T5s on the tanks, as I didn't want part of the tank to be in the dark and part well lit. You can tell where the light is over the tank if you know to look for it but it is not obvious. One reason for it was to promote more natural growth of my corals. Your welcome to come see it some time.

What is the photoperiod of mover? I would guess that you'd have to run it longer to make sure that the coral are getting enough light.

How much would a solar power system cost to run a 1234KWh?

I spoke with SCE reps last week regarding to my electric bill. They said it increase 30% on march and another 10% at the end of march. My bill jump from 150 to 252. I think we should get together and protest

Emailed that company and got a reply that the pricing was on the website. Didn't see any pricing. Emailed him again...no response...
