Daniel's RSM 250 SPS tank

I just see I have a couple of duplicated pictures in my previous posting. I will let them there as I am afraid I will make it worst trying to delete them using the phone.

They are not the best pictures at all. I went to take a look to tank before jumping in the car and couldn't avoid the need of taking some very fast pictures. Within that contest they look good.

I will try better pictures soon.

My system can be bored to many guys in the forum, as I am not doing anything beside the basics. Weekly WC, bacteria filtration (dosing 4 drops of AF bacteria and NP-Pro dose for 100 G ) plus Macro Algae support.

Dosing B-ionic 2 part and keep alk around 6.5-7 dkh.

Fish food every other day.

I do not idea of any parameter beside Salinity, ph/temp (Apex), Alk.

Cheers to all
Daniel

The Alk peak you see at the end of Jan was a mistake I did, as I wanted 24 hours to measure again and it was ~6.5 dkh.

Cheers
Daniel

Looking good! I'm kinda jealous, your purple monti cap is much more purple than mine...

In the first picture, far left, what is that plating coral that's clearly not a Monti but grows like one? The one with all the bluish dots. I've seen it before but can't remember what it's called.

Me neither. I will ask at the local club. Grow like weed and have long tentacles. I cut it almost every week and trash the pieces. It is very aggressive. Zoom the yellow/green acro beside it and see the nearest branch. I did cut a lot to avoid that again.

Grows under any condition and is very pretty.

Hey Dan, the tank looks amazing. As usual, it looks 3x as large as it really is.
You have perfect health and growth in there.
It's a beautiful, mature mixed reef, you have.
Also, the tank is not overcrowded with fish. I think that contributes to the stability and appearance of it being quite algea free.

Thank you Matt !!

I have 8 out of 10 in the main tank. 2 are missing in action.....probably eaten by the starfish I have there (around 5 very big and many small that are new borns).

In the fuge I have another 8. Two of those are big trigger fish and a big yellow tang and a big clown....... oh my gosh . They are all big :-) LOL.

All that in 100 G total (not real volume. Real is much less).

Nevertheless, since my last crash (a year + ago) I have been feeding 3 cubes in the DT and 3 cubes in the fuge every other day.

I do have a big cleaning crew. In both tanks.

Cheers
Daniel

Ps: when I take pictures they all hide .....

I will do a video this weekend about the feeding . Stay tuned. You will see the fish.

I think the tank looks great, the overall balance of shape and color is good and there is life bursting out of every little place!

Thank you Matt !!! You did a great job and you will do it again. I am waiting to see those Acros flourishing in your tank again.

I am following It.

Awesome, Dan! There's really not much bare rock left in that tank to put another coral. That's for sure.
I love the reflection on the top of the water. Very cool.
You have a very significant fish load!! I stand corrected. Your tank is loaded with fish and you feed them well.
Does your macro algea grow like crazy?

The Macro grows, but not crazy. I do a small prune every 1-2 months. The chaeto always desapeared.

I will post a picture of the basket tomorrow so you can see what I have there.

Cheers
