It looks great dan buddy!
Those anthias are indeed awesome :)
You have chosen some really nice corals and i can't wait to see them grow big!
Does sun hit your tank or my eyes fool me?

Thanks Mike its getting there Its Scotty reef quality though lol...some day...ya I let the indirect sunlight in and the corals that gets it are growing well...man I am debating in my head if inshoud add sand or not what do u think

What does the sand look like Dan? I would add sand for its filtering, biodiversity and looks but make sure its not going to blow around with the flow.

My pump for sure will blow sand all over but I don't think it would be that bad ..its the tropic eden sand the its mixed with reef flakes and the bigger grain don't remember the name.

I really like the look of your scape, had a very balanced appearance and looks well thought out for placement of SPS

In terms of substrate, I keep coming and going on having substrate in my new setup. What are the pros and cons in your situation? Your tank looks great and it looks like you have good coralline algae growth on the bottom glass... in time once your corals fill out the eyes of the viewer will go to them naturally... I would leave it if I were you. But I tough call. I'm undecided on this whole substrate thing (I've never gone BB though).

Thank you that's a big compliment coming from you I always love the look of your tank wish I can get it close to what your tank looked like..the pros of having a BB tank is the ease of controlling nutrient my po4 stays low the highest it got up to was .06 because my skimmer was having issues but it never got higher than that..I don't use anything else for po4 reduction just skimmer, fuge and I was adding zeostart once a week now I don't anymore because it was to low I feed everyday if I don't things turn pale I also like being able to increase the flow as much as I want and what never settle on the bottom gets blown to the overflow. .and also if anything falls it doesn't fall in the sand and get irritated..I like it for those reasons

I like ssb because it looks so much better but it traps all the detritus and in a week there's a lot that can get trapped..I will see then again I always change my mind to what looks good :wildone:

little update got some tropic eden sand. I added sand because its hard to keep the po4 higher and I like having some wrasse and other sand loving critters. .and it looks alot better

I like this one

wow, another crazy build i missed!
really nice work on the cabinet, plumbing and hanging the light.
and the corals look awesome!
expecting nice things from you, Dan!

+1!
Well done dan:p

In the end it's really hard to stay away from sand:dance:
I can feel you buddy!
Bare bottom is so easy to keep but the beauty of the sand is a deal breaker!
Loved those corals too!:bounce3:

Do you have in your plans to add more or you will give as much grow space as possible,to the ones you already have?

Looking VERY nice! Love the bright Pink Millepora! :)

Yes sir I like how easy it is to maintain a BB but I can't get the po4 high enough so it ends being unbalanced. .I added sand for a better look and for some sand loving fish..I will add more but it will be my RR collection that I had.

Any updates bud? How is all going? :)

Everything is doing great I am not posting pics till I can figure out my macro lens my friend is gonna show me how to use it...so it can at least look decent hard to follow your lead with that beautiful tank of yours lol
