Hi Dave how long have you been using Zeovit
it took me 8 months to get zero on No3 and Po4 but after all it worth the wait and try

I've been running Zeovit since starting the tank on 4/17/09. Haven't really had any issues with No3 or Po4 to speak of. It's been GREAT for me personally although some have mixed results.

You say it took you 8 months, was this on a tank that was already up and running or starting from scratch?

Nice snag on the leopard Dave. I love the coloration and patterns on those wrasses.

Thanks Dan, I've always love the Leopards! Unfortunately he looks like he's a goner as of today? Can't understand it either, he was eating, swimming around the tank with all the other fish and showing no signs what so ever of doing poorly.

Oh well, I've read they're hard to keep in captivity and I guess I got a lemon so to speak. Either way, I'm bummed.... :(

I'm a ways out from trimming but your at the top of the list for fraggage!!! I wouldn't have been able to get my tank going without your help.

Lucky for you I've acquired some pretty nice pieces, lol!

Looking good bro! Loving your fish selection.

Hey Chris,

Thanks, I'm glad to have you drop in! It's a work in progress but things are coming along.

I'm anxious to see more of your tank with the changes you've made. How's that Alpha treating you, the video you posted looked pretty good!

Dave, did your leopard make it? Also, how's the Alpha working out for you?

Hey Dan,

Unfortunately the Leopard didn't make it. I was pretty bummed, he showed no signs of doing poorly at all. For the first couple days he did great then on the third he was acting very strangely laying on the sand then darting all over the tank and back on the sand, I don't know what the deal was. I've read they're hard to keep and probably won't try another unless it's been established for some time in captivity. This one came direct from Quality Marine to me...

The Alpha is doing very well... I've got the 47mm nozzle and have found that 9.5" of depth works best for my application. Po3 & Po4 have been a big fat ZERO right along even with the heavy fish load and 3x a day feeding!

My tank was up and already running my nutrients were pretty high and I took the zeovit very slowly but I have been seeing a big 0 on No3 and Po4 for months now and stock with frags my tank and the growth and color is huge

I have been feeding a lot and No3 and Po4 stays at 0 according to hanna photometer and Lamotte test kit

So anyway nice tank ill soon post pics of my tank

Dave, what is your current bulb combo? Are you still using 250w MH's?

Hey Ricky,

Yup, still running a pair of 250w Radium's on Galaxy ballasts housed in Lumenmax Elite reflectors with 2x 54w UVLighting Super Actinic's and 2x 54w Fiji Purples over-driven by an IceCapp 660.

Dave,

I run zeo also and am upgrading to a new tank. My current tank is Barebottom and I am adding substrate, only a couple inches.

What kind of substrate are you using and do you clean or stir it ? I see you have a good many crabs and snails in there, are they helping you keep it clean ?

Thanks !
