Dave's 150G Starphire Zeo Reef~

yeah most of the time it seems he touches the rock and just falls off then cruises the sand bed. Unfortunately mine suffers from the same Low iq problem. I am sure there are smarter ones out there as mine just touches the rock and then stops and I guess thinking its going to be way too much work going up hill and turns around

Well, hopefully hunger will point him in the right direction! However, I must say... he is quite a plump little guy~

You may want to put screening around your power heads. They are sea hare killers.

Well Gregg,

I think you're unfortunately psychic or something... my sea hare got caught up in one of my 6055 stream pumps today. There was an intake screen on it but he still tried to get in it anyway.

I saw him and pulled him off but he looks very dazed and confused. I'm not sure he's gonna make it at this point.

Very bummed for the little critter, he was so interesting to watch. Hopefully he'll pull through but I don't know?

Sorry to hear that Dave. Darn those sea hares, they just can't seem to stay away from power heads and it's amazing that so much of their soft under belly can get can sucked through such small areas on a power head's intake. I hope it makes it. I have had some that I thought were gonners but they survived although usually just got stuck in another power head a week later.:rolleye1: Good luck.

I dont think mine is as cute as I once thought it was, Went to check on PE tonight and there it was... for a split second until I put the flash light on it.. its back was like wide open? then closed.. I couldnt make out what it was doing or what I was actually seeing.

Hope your lil guy makes it! For his sake and the fact they are pricey lil buggers considering what they are.

Sorry to hear about the sea hare. Make sure to get him out if he looks iffy...I've heard that they can nuke your tank if they die in there.

Thanks guys,

Actually, as I was watching him the other night after lights out "something"
from the rock work "stabbed" him and dragged him into make him dinner or something??? Looked like a worm or something but I don't think worms work like that...

Anyway, he's gone now and all seems to be well as near as I can tell. Monday is my water change day and I spent a good 3 hours or so really cleaning things up. Siphoned out as much GHA and valonia as I could possibly get out, really stirred thing up! After all was said and done I changed out about 25+ gallons of water yesterday/lastnight!~

My GHA is just about all gone now, what was left was dying off and when I went to siphon it out it came out pretty easy! :)

HOLLY CRAP.... After a little investigation I've determined that I'm jumping the gun by 4 weeks!?!?!?!?

Sorry guys but the big 1 year update isn't until next month...

Really nice Lokani that is a real surviver. It was completely bone white and looked like it was a gonner but is making a strong come back. Got it from Steve....

Here's a random shot. Notice my poor purple stag on the lower right. It was really hurt by some unkown problem.
