Dave's 150G Starphire Zeo Reef~

Very nice Dave, you have a beautiful collection of SPS. I'm curious what the Fiji Mari will do... Always fun to see a colony coloring up :)
That gold flake is a real beauty, can you tell me some more about it's behavior, and more importantly, its appetite towards LPS and SPS? :) Thanks!

Leonardo

Nice update Dave, looks like you've got some really nice frags ready to be mounted. The goldflake is beautiful...any nipping?

Looks like things are coming along nicely Dave!

Thank you so much Brian.... little by little, it's coming along!

Yeah, I was really attracted to the growth form on that Fiji piece. I think it's going to be a really colorful piece once it fully acclimates to my system and lighting, etc...

As far as the Gold Flake, he's been a model citizen so far and has got me itching to get another angel or two in the future!

Great update Dave

Thanks Mark and thanks again for the really nice pieces! I couldn't get the quality of photo's I would have liked of the ones I got from you so, that's why I didn't post all of em up just yet. Just so you know they all seem to be doing well and I just need to find places to mount them now.

I'm sure we'll be doing more business in the future!

Thanks Dan, I appreciate the kind words.

Yeah, I've got some mounting to do that's for sure. Just not quite sure where to put them all just yet. I find myself staring at the tank often and contemplating potential mounting locations.

The Gold Flake has been a real great addition. I'm SO glad I got him as I'd always dreamed of having one. So far he has been very well behaved and as I mentioned above to Leonardo he's got me thinking on adding at least one or two more down the line!

Wow Dave,
You have some really high end stuff in the works, really going to be sweet to see those beauties as colonies, ahhh patience.... Very impressive year, keep up the great work!!!
Regards,

Well I was gonna wish your tank a happy birthday till I read the rest of the posts...I guess I will have to wait.

Nice update......thanks for keepin us in the loop :)

Thanks Gregg, I just want my tank to be like yours when it grows up, lol!~

The Goldflake looks awsome Dave. Makes me want one even more :p.

Yeah, he's real healthy and a great eater. He's my favorite for sure.... Well, at the top of the list anyway.

nice tank Dave. just saw those pictures somewhere.

Can't imagine where else... lol!~

Yeah the Alpha is ALPHA for sure!~ Does a smashing job of suckin the crud out. Just wish it would scrub the GHA off my rocks for me as I'm getting pretty worn out from doing it every week for some time now! :mad2:

It does seem to be receding but has not gone away all together as I'm hoping for.... :uzi:

Dave, love that goldflake!!! well, love your entire tank! :)

Hey, what do you think about using Zeo coral snow and pohl's extra on my non-zeo tank? I was given this stuff and thinking about trying it out.

Dave, your tank is looking great!!! I never got back to you about the frags. I'm kinda thinking about going fish only for awhile.

I love the goldflake.

Cool pics Dave! Your corals are really starting to fill in man, and those fish look happy too...
:)

Thanks Perry! Things are moving along nicely I must say. Aside from the GHA I'm pretty happy.

I cut my Radiums back an hour and tried raising the canopy a couple inches to see if it helps abate the GHA some for me?

I'm anxiously watching your thread for updates. Can't wait to see your rock work!

Thanks so much for stoppin in Terri!

Yeah, I love the Gold Flake too, always wanted one. Glad to have gotten such a healthy specimen.

As far as the CS and PX you could probably use them safely alone. Just make sure you use about half what the label says for your water volume to start with for 4-6 weeks till you can see what's happening good bad or otherwise. Also, you only need to use them about 2 or 3 times a week IME....

Other good place to check for good measure would be at the Zeovit.com site and check in with Bob(Oldsalt) and G. Alexander for proper instruction.

Good luck and I LOVE your new light fixture!
