Daves Shallow 35

thats cool. I didnt know they ate starfish, but then again I dont know anything about that shrimp. I will be setting up a harlequin shrimp only tank around january!

I dont believe that that star is considered reef safe... but then again perhaps it wont live long with that lil feller getting all ninja on it.

They are. Its just a sand sifter. At most it eats stuff from the sand bed. It has been in there for 4-5 months along with the little guy :)

Well I officially hate Time Warner. They suck I had no internet for a few days :(

Anyways I was able to snap some pictures that turned out well. I have been reading about the Bio-Pellets that sound promising. Aquarium Specialty will be carrying them and they are just down in SC.

Like I have said before, my tank looks AMAZING with the new bulbs. I am still battling the aptasia and some bubble algae but nothing I am worried about. Just working on it small amounts has helped a ton. I really want to add some smaller fish the next few months but things have been tight. I sold my Dendro only because I like to keep my hands out of this tank and not enough time to feed it.

Now for the pictures...

Looking great Dave.

See if you can correct the white balance on your camera - that way we can get a less 'blue' view of your tank :)

I am trying. Its hard when you are just using a point and shoot camera! I have to take 75-100 pictures for a few to look nice.

I hear you. What Point and shoot you got? Perhaps I can help? My little Nikon has a white balance setting that I can use to set the white balance :)

Its a Canon Elph I think. My girlfriend took it to work today but I will check when she gets home.

I really want a new camera this year, may have to start looking on ebay!

I love your photos and they are definitely not too blue for me! Wow, those are taken with a Point&Shoot? Amazing photos, Dave. I'm glad I checked this thread because I love your tank. Keep up the good work!

Thanks guys! I'll make sure to post some updates soon!

Most of the time I try and get the camera in a macro mode to get the better pictures.

Here's some photo's that I took today. I'm getting a little better with the point and shoot and the white balance and all that camera talk. I hope to pick up a new DLSR soon to keep up with all you guys. The Setosa, Undata and Mummy Eye turned out as my favorites. :D
