DE MH Pendant Needed

Does anyone have a DE MH Pendant for sale? The UV shield has broke on my dual MH fixture and I have a single pendant with dual ballast. I tried a standard plate glass and after ten minutes the glass shattered. I spoke to a local glass company and he told me that turnaround time would be around two weeks and the cost was guesstimated to be around 80$. So for the time being I am running a 48" Nova 4 bulb t-5 and a 2 bulb GLO fixture. If I can find a pendant, I'll trash the fixture (Odyssea). LED's are starting to look very attractive to me right now but I just can't afford the up front cost.
 
Sorry Rob have no Metal Halides, ive got a couple t5 bulbs... 1 giessman true atinic and 1 marine glow blue atinic..
The guy i got my Leds from on craigslist has a new fixture still in the box for i belive $220.
His name is Ray, He upgraded to cree leds and burnt up everything in his system. If your interested i can pm you his number
 
Thanks for the post but the mods are going to delete your link. From what I have read on those fixtures, they are not enough to support SPS.
 
Yes ive read tons of bad reviews aswell.. Just saying he had some georgous sps in his tank, switched to the 3watt crees and burnt up everything in his system Im running 2 of these fixtures and have seen noticable growth in my monti over the past week
 
I don't think I'm going to have to buy another fixture!!! The manufacture replied to my Email for a new UV shield.
 
Shattered? Wow. Sorry I convMany reasons that could have happened. Was it a tight fit that didn't allow for expansion when it heated up? You already said this was going to be way above the water.

I don't know, this is their response to my Email "We can special order this part for you and please advice the size of the glass piece". The Email does not mention any form of payment.

Scott, the replacement glass was loose. I don't know why the glass broke to begin with, the lights were off when it broke. I'm just glad the manufacture is going to replace the glass.

Well, the older members will know...I'm pretty famous for not wanting to click links. If you don't post it here, I probably won't look at it. If you post a link to an article, I probably won't read it. It's nothing personal. I don't do it to be mean, I just don't like clicking links most of the time because I'm checking in really quickly as a break while I'm right in the middle of something (as right now).

Sorry Mel :P i didn't know. I was just trying to share information, i pretty much hate reading articles or anything for that matter unless its something that interests me :) Which is pretty much broken down into 3 subjects. Fish, Cars, Guitars :P I haven't got hardly any experience with MH but seen the article and read through it, had all kinds of usefulness to me anyway :P




Anywho back on the subject. Did they say there gonna ship you 1 Rob, or they asking for payment??

I don't know? They sent me the email asking the size of glass and I sent them a response. I also asked them for turn around time and have yet to hear back from them. I plan on waiting 'till Monday to get a response before I attempt to call them.

If my plan works, I will have a DIY LED setup by the end of the year.
