Dec. 2014 Tank pics.

Would love to see an update on this tank. Also some details about filtration, equipment, return pump etc. Thanks. :)

The tank has pretty much been on autopilot. I keep the kalk reactor and my two-part jugs topped off and the auto feeder for the fish full. The tank actually ran a full 24 months on one set on T5 bulbs. Growth was great but they lost color I changed the bulbs a few months ago (2 bulbs a week) and the colors came back quickly.

Other than that i really have just let the tank go as you can see it is way over grown. I have lost a few corals mostly from the Red Dragon or Milli over grow them. Putting the Red Milli up high was a bad idea it is shading a lot of stuff now I lost my large Borealis.

I will be taking this tank down later this year. I have a new 60x34x21tall tank waiting to be set up. I need to build a stand and collect some equipment first.

So nice to see something that isn't a frag tank.

I agree I hate frag racks / tanks. I like natural looking aquascapes.

Can I ask what auto feeder and food you are using? I need something for whenever I'm out of town for a couple of days.

It is the Eheim "Feed air automatic feeder" It is the only auto feeder that I have used so I have nothing to compare it to. It works well I like it. The adjustment for quantity is very touchy though. I use a mix of different small pellets from NLS and O. Nutrition. Make sure all pellets are about the same size or you will have problems. I supplement with other foods by hand my fish get fed 3 to 4 time a day twice by the auto feeder.
