December Frag Raffle (moved from November)

As per usual...I have nothing. Hah hah. I got rid of all my extra stuff when I moved here.

Hmm... Just to make sure I'm clear on this idea, the used stuff for sale is for the benefit of the seller. Right? Kind of a single place for a aquarium focused yard/garage sale?

If it was for the benefit the club, I've got stuff I'd be willing to bring. But it would likely end with things like old heaters and such. But if it's going in MY pocket I'd bring some $400 pumps, old Neptune controllers and other awesome stuff.

I dunno- single seller could get contentious. We want this to be friendly! Anyone ever been to the Tropical Fish Auction the Norwalk Aquarium Society holds at Earthplace twice a year? A great event for freshwater fans. Its an auction and if I am not mistaken some of the livestock and other "stuff" is donated. I'm sure they have an arrangement for their club members that bring stuff where they have some kind of split for the auction proceeds per item. It takes a bit of organization but it works. Its a hoot and you can get some great deals. Imagine if we did something like that for the saltwater community?

As for our meeting I'd be willing to bring "stuff" to be thrown into the raffle pool or an auction. Of course we don't want to get too far astray from the frag-swap aspect of it.

Thoughts?
