December Frag Raffle (moved from November)

I think I may be able to make this meeting!

I'll bring a Frag of my CornbreadTrash 3G Mummy Eye Chalice. Here's a pic of the mother colony...

One of the nicest if not the nicest Mummy eye chalice out there.

Saltychick and I will be there for sure!

I'll be bringing a bunch of frags of a wild morph of LA Lakers. And maybe a couple other suprises

Sounds like there's gonna be a lotta frags! Get there early and buy tickets early so we can get on with getting through them all! ;-)

I just found out that I will have to leave early... I will be leaving between 2-2:15 pm. My question is will we be doing the raffle in the beginning of the meeting? I really don't want to miss the raffle!

Mason - if we don't start the raffle by 2, we'll never finish by three. But I'm sure we could talk up interest in starting a little early if needed. ;)

No no, I want the raffle to be earlier!! I have to leave the meeting early (2-2:15 pm) and I def don't want to miss the raffle!

Yeas. I get that. We never start them at the beginning of the meeting. It gives everyone's something to look forward to. But as I said before, I'm sure we can look into starting a little sooner. :)

Worse case, you could pick out the pieces you want and give someone your tickets to get them for you. But again, I'm sure we can start a little early.

I don't mind the raffle being a bit early. We can start the whole thing a little earlier too, if ya want!

Oops! I forgot the meeting was Sunday, not Saturday. So please skip the meeting delivery idea. Will have to be at my house Saturday, if I still do it. Please check the thread for details.

Sorry about that...

Tomorrow's meeting

Tomorrow's meeting

Just wanted to know if tomorrow's meeting is open to new people.

I'm pretty new and they're all really nice to me so I'm sure it's fine. You might have to join the club to get in on the raffle…but I'm not 100% sure. I don't think it's expensive to join and they always want new members.

New people are indeed most welcome. We only ask that they have an interest in reef keeping. Level of experience does not matter. And having an interest doesn't even mean having a reef tank necessarily - just thinking about it is good enough. Club gatherings are a GREAT place for people to gather good information from experienced reefers before they take the plunge. We ENCOURAGE that!

Goodness know we've had enough people come to their first meeting and say, "I don't know anything about reef keeping, but I just got a good deal on... " Needless to say, very often those folks would have been a lot better off coming to a meeting first, and gathering a little info BEFORE making an uninformed purchase.

And generally speaking non-members are welcome to join in the raffle. Tomorrow will be no exception. :)

Thank you for the reply. We will definitely be there tomorrow. Is there anything I need to bring.
Thanks
Alison
