Deep and dark - Elos 120XL deepwater biotope

Very nice. thanks for the update

Thank you

How difficult was it to get the screen tight with the hole in the middle?

Not difficult at all, first I made whole screen, then the small frame for the hole, once I attached it in required space, I cut the net inside small frame to make a hole. Everyhing is nice and tight.

You have what I aspire to have....

A tank that you can sit in front of and lose track of time because it's so beautiful.

That is what I do sometimes, especially when I get stressed with work or my wife :) , nice place to get away for a while from everything.

Mark, was your smaller tank featured in Reef Hobbyist Magazine?

Yes, that nano is down now, all corals in this reef now.

Oh, that makes sense. Thanks for the idea. And congrats on the article!

I love your tank, very beautiful and fascinating, and unique.

Thank you

But no TV down there? Not to detract from that tank (which deserves center stage), but no TV?!

This is my relaxing room, no TV allowed :) , just sit, relax , Jack on the rocks and good book, TV is in room next to this one. There I watch our pathetic Chicago Bears football :) and go Cubs !!!

Absolutely beautiful, I love all the NPS especially the sun coral and dendros. I have never been able to have them thrive. I will try your feeding method. The whole aquarium and livestock is just spectacular.

beautiful!
Thank you !

Thoose basslets, serranus are beautifull but verry mean fish. The colors are stuning in this aquarium .
Thank you, so far my Basslets are behaving very well, if I see any aggression they might have to go, as I am stocking my tank with more peaceful anthias.

Love these guys! Have the same species in my tank too. They aren't shy at all and eating like pigs. Love the color, so beautiful :)
Yes, I agree, they not shy at all, and eating good too.
What's your lighting set up?
Hi, main light set up is 2 coral compulsion 3W blue led spotlight. When I take pictures or just want to show off my tank I add another coral compulsion bulb 18W 24K. That's it. I don't want anymore light as algae would take hold in this tank with the amount of food going in. Light is on only few hours a day from 5pm to 11pm.

Thank you, I wish you good luck with your sun corals. I don't find them hard at all, as long as you can provide them with right conditions and lots of food.

So, I have something going after my gorgonian and my chilli coral. I suspect a crab, as you will see on pictures I took, it cut the branches just like scissors would do. My chilli coral is almost completely eaten. So tall glass and piece of shrimp going in my tank tonight, and hopefully I can catch it.

look at those 3 branches that are cut off
