Deep Down Florida 300g In-wall Build

That coast to coast overflow would have been perfect.

I made the overflow that your looking at stangd1909 for my new 340 but bills tank originally came with a very small undersized one so he needed it sooner and more then I so I built another one for myself ...........and now its on mitch's new DT lol I cant wait till mine is finally back on track lol

...its looking sweet bill, im doing pretty good, been off crutches for about 3 weeks so hopefully I can start getting some of my DT completed finally.....stop by sometime

You did a really good job, It looks great!

Thank you everyone for the comments.
I really haven't had time to do much to the tank other than keep in functioning well.
I look to start adding softies once I get my water back into check.
Thanks Mitch for the Macroalgae.

I am not in the process of creating an algae turf scrubber for my tank. After reading a bunch of material, I believe this will help me with my high nitrates and phosphates that I can't seem to control.
I received the supplies and from the pictures below, you could see that I just started.
I will update the post as I move forward.

U said ur not in the process of building one LOL

I would have gone with a nature reef denitrator with nitragone and phosgone have u looked into them

oooops your right, I made a mistake.
I have read a ton of information that supports an ATS so I thought I would give it a try.
Nothing like a DIY project to make the week go by.

scrap the scrubber I would convert that box u made into a nature reef chamber much easier and a lot more productive....im just finishing building one custom into my new sump ....just saying .....check it out

I tried looking for information on that nature reef but didn't see anything. Could you give me more information?
I don't think I will scrap this project but I will be willing to look into something else.

Ok so I have done a little more work to my ATS.
The back box is the outer holding the lights.
The clear one is going to isolate the screen from the lights. I made it a separate box so I could easily remove it when I need to change bulbs.
More to come.

Soooooooo after talking to some local RC members, I have decided to scrap the idea of using an ATS for my Nitrate needs. The biggest issue I had with it was that I would have needed to removed and clean the screen of algae every week. (what was I thinking)
I have now decided to try my luck with a Natureef style chamber. From talking to Rogger Castells and MRX66699 I think I have made the right choice.
There are a few more think I need to do but I will post those when I get it done.
The box (natureef wanna be) here measures 20H x 14Wx 16L.
More pictures to come.

Looks nice, The eggcrates seem to be too close to each other and also too close to the overflow drain, remember that these eggcrates will be were most bacteria grows and there should be some slow flow forcing water between them, in mine they are about 4'' apart, I am not sure if it makes a difference, but I suspect it will in the long run due to the bacteria growth blocking the holes.
Other than that, I love the overflow idea, that would work nice as long as you make sure that the outlet is not summerge below water level in the sump, this could cause the flow to get blocked and you could get a flood.
Good Luck!

Thanks, I have modeled this after a small natureef that I saw at a fish store. If anything, I could always change how the egg creates sits.
