Deep Down Florida 300g In-wall Build

You know gasman I am struggling with those power heads. I am having a hard time finding a sport where it will not blow away all my sand. This is one of the items that still needs tweeking. Thank you for the kind words.
Thanks MRX, things are coming along. I am now finshing connecting all my devices to the RK2. Makes me wonder how I got along before without it. Actually I need 2 more PC4s :)

On another note, my chiller is working like a charm with the RK2. Woke up this morning to see the temp for the first time at 77. I guess a 1/2 hp chiller will do that.

Nicely done. Is your rock work in the middle of the tank? Have you thought about crisscrossing the flow from the rear wall? Or directing two in one direction and two in the opposite direction on the other side of the wall?

The powerheads are pretty powerful so running from the back wall I am afraid will also push the sand around. That is if you are talking about pointing it forward.
Thanks for the complements.

Bill they will push the sand around from the back or were ever you put them but it will settle.... manys idea would be the best to place them in the back of the tank and flow the tank forward off the front glass and then roll it back to the overflow. Either way its looking good, will have to stop over and see it.

How hard? Meaning in amps? When I first plugged it in it was at 4.6amps + or -.
That is at full load.

Well it was running hard yesterday since i was at 82.6
I can tell you that it was at 77 this morning and it was off. I set my reefkeeper to graph so if it does what I think the graph does I will be able to see some sort of history when i get home tonight.
By the way, if the update 2.0 was out I would be able to see that information online... :)

Te skimmer will work as long as there is no load.
It will be finicky at best once livestock is in, but as u know them downdraft will kick the crap out of any tank even while changing levels are a problem

Looking great! Looks like the skimmer is working like a charm too. Good choice in moving the plumbing. I dont think you will have any issues at all the way its set up though I didnt realize you would have the water level in your sump as high as it is. As long as your water level is consistant, once it settles in, you shouldnt have to touch the gate valve once you have it dialed in. Just clean the beckett valve every month or 2 when you see the performance changing. The cleaning intervals will depend somewhat on the cleanliness of your water.

Thanks slief, the water level is actually higher by about 5 inces in that picture. My salinity was high so I added RO/DI to bring it back down. I have since emptied the water to bring it back to its normal level.

Thank you everyone for looking. I am going to work on my ATO this weekend so I will take pictures of my progress.

I would be curious on how hard the chiller will be working in the summer. I thought about something similar here but in Texas, may garage might be 90+ when it is 110 outside. Then pull the 2 cars in and I bet I hit 96+

I love the clean look, really nice

Craig

Thank you very much. I am sure it will run hard in the summer but that is the price I will pay to have this look. I will be trying different things to minimize the heat into my garage.
