Deep Down Florida 600 Gallon In-Wall Build

I think 400w would. But it's all about bulb selection and reflectors. I bet some 10k and 12k 250s would too. Just my uneducated guess. Regardless, looking forward to the build.

I agree Marvin, but as of now Bill has no MH, only Radions. If i was him ide add a couple MH in between his LED's if he wants SPS. Mind you so far Bill has only done fish and some LPS. If this is all he wants(fish and LPS) then he's good.

Thanks for your thoughts guys. I don't think I will ever do sps. Fish and lps are all I am looking at right now.

So today I started the task of sanding out the scratches from my tank.
Here are pictures before I got started.

And now the fun begins.

Eddie, a 41H tank will need serious lighting. Think 4 x 400w MH's would give 100 par at the bottom? I think Rogger could give you an idea.

Try 6 radions with 40-60 optics and see what par you can get.

It all depends on how high your rock work goes, coral placement, and if you want SPS.

Looking forward to this monstrosity

Mike- i get >200 at sand bed in middle. down to ~100 at edges. Thats 2 x 250W radiuums, with Elite reflectors. and a reef brite in the front. I added a ecoxotic blue/white to back but havent measured par since.

Bill, check out vivid aquariums on YouTube. They have a similar tank in height but bigger. They are running mh and LEDs in different ends of the tank. And maybe using the same LEDs as you.

Congratulations on the new tank my friend. Haven't been on RC since I started the new job, so I've missed quite a bit. It's looking great; can't wait to see what it looks like in the wall. Count me in if you need help when the day of the swap comes.
