Deep Water Picture Thread!

kruxy

that is coloring up nicely but it looks more like a loripes/ granulosa than a jac. esp that the coralites are appearing only on one side of each branch.

is is a caroliniana not a jac. i have one of those too, i agree, very different. you can see pics of my loripes and jacquelinea elsewhere.

ID please? Came in as a suharsoni, but I'm leaning towards caroliana or even lokani. Any help would be very much appreciated

I got this frag as a Tenius.....I have no idea what it is, but I had it up high and it nothing for almost a year..so I lowered down to lower 1/4 in high flow.....to see what happens.

Heres a crazy one, Its branches are as thick as my pinky finger.
Sorry for the bad pics, But the color is best represented in the second pic, But the first pic is clearer.

Good to see this thread is back. I want to add some Deep water Acro's, I would like some info on their care and since you never can do a search anymore on RC, any suggestions?

My granulosa:

Color in the middle glows green in person where in the picture it looks brown.

I think it may vary, I had fragged a piece of my elegans and moved it to higher lighting...it turned green lite green. I moved the coral back to the bottom and it turned back to lavendar with dark purple tips. But the simplex can be moved to the top and it will turn from brown to purple/lavendar.

bigred, what's id of the second pic?

I believe it's a Jacquelineae.

I am not sure exactly what it is, but I can say with 99% confidence that it is not A. Jacqulinea (sp.).
