Derasa hosting Clowns :/

So my clowns have decided to take up residence in my 4-5" Derasa Clam. I'm not sure what to do, if anything. I doubt moving the clam will do much in a 90 and there's only a couple places where it would receive adequate light. The clam seems mostly unaffected but occasionally partially shuts. I've seen clams host clowns before but they were much larger, to the point where nothing would really effect them.

So, I guess me question is are one of my clowns doomed or is this pretty common?

this will be interesting if they spawn! I have a pair of Clarkii's that spawn every 12 days. When they spawn, they are pretty "harsh" on the substrate they spawn on ...... then everybody better watch out because they become plain darn mean!!

Taggin along here, want to learn more!

If I can take a positive out of it, all healthy fish spawn. Of course they're just clowns. But it's a good sign none the less and hopefully others will follow suit.

I had a single clown hosting in my clam several months ago and my clam is fine to this day.

Happens all the time

Yes, but I've seen quite a few pictures of fish killed by a clam. I wouldn't be too concerned if the clam was bigger. It would really stink if the pair were seperated. I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

Should be fine but keep eye on clams health. Sometimes they can feed/drop stuff the clam too much or "love"/rub on the clam too often.

I've got a 9+ inch clam and it couldn't kill anything. They close when they're bothered, but nowhere near fast enough to do any damage. Carpet anemones on the other hand will kill fish.

I'd suggest putting in a nice toadstool, big rics, or something else to pry them away from the clam if you're worried.
