yup, got it from him last march or june iirc

cool, great pic you have and now I have something to look forward to. I got mine right when he got out of the hobby. :(

Ok you guys suck I started this thread and asked for help, now you post pictures of these awesome corals and don't give me your secrets. :Imao: Thanks and keep the pictures comming it gives me hope.

Well Just to update everyone on my frag I too have lost the LA Desalwii :( but I want to let everyone know that I called them and the customer service could not have been better. The lady I talked to, I can't remember her name, spoke to me for quite awhile and gave me credit for the coral and best of all she is a member of Reef Central.

I agree there...LA was very accomodating customer service wise....it's still a shame about the coral though :(

I never followed up with Live Aquaria when my A. deswalli bit the dust...what a dork. I thought it was only 14 day guarentee and it had been three weeks. Oh well, sorry to hear another person lost the deswalli. It really is a pretty coral. Seems pretty tempermental.

isn't that incredible about this gorgeous coral. I agree about LA's customer service. They are great and Kevin said after the replacement that he's just have his assistant credit my card. They had that done within 2 days.

Clearly, that specimen needs a secondary growth system in order to fully analyze the polyp coloration. Twon, you know what you must do :D

i'll put you first on the list...

i'll get a pick this week with disturbed polyps so the base can be seen

I know this thread is terribly old, but I just love this species, and would like to get this thread going again to see more pics! :)

Here's one I had in my last SPS tank. Just bought it as a no-name frag. Pretty sure it's desalwii. Pic from 2011, sorry it's a bit over saturated. The tips were SO fluorescent though that it always looked over saturated in photos.

Here it is under sunlight only:

Here it is during a slow mini-crash in 2012 (thank you tank sitter lol) - you can see the fused-branch growth structure of it.
