DFason's 35g Shallow SPS Build

Thanks guys!

Some photo's for everyone. Some corals darkened up a little but for the most part I cant complain. With this weekend being the first in a while were I can relax and do some odds and ends to the tank I should have some new stuff for next week :)

The middle tank is going to be a mangrove/seagrass biotope. I will have a pair of Bangaii cardinals and try and breed them. I will also have a long spine urchin for the small babies. The entire tank will be lit by spotlights with different spectrum's for each macro/coral in there. This is the tank I am most excited about.

I will also have a long spine urchin for the small babies.
So you plan on raising them in the broodstock tank? It's will be a PITA to keep a high enough concentration of brine shrimp in a big tank, also all power heads will need to be covered, and you risk the babies being eating by parents/ creatures on LR.
Also high flow and sharp LR doesn't seem a good combination with the delicate larvae.

US plastics. 13x13x27"?

Tank looks great.

Quick question. Where did you get the 15g drum? What are the dimensions?

I am going to try it out at first. The macro tank wont have crazy flow by any means. If not down to the sump they go!

Thanks guys! Being moved will make me more religious about doing small water changes. I can only think that it will get better from here!

As for the combo I use this...

Blue +
Fiji Purple
Aquablue Special

Some new eye candy. I got bored :) I really need to move around some of the frags on the sand bed. I am trading a frag of WM for a frag of Grape WM today too!

Well I bought my girlfriend a new point and shoot and wanted to test the macro shots out. And wow! I think these turned out very good! The were under Blue+ and Fiji bulbs. Dont mind the red flat worms, they have ALL been sucked up and flatworm exit has just entered the building :)

Anya ways I think these turned out GREAT! Nothing was adjusted and the colors are very accurate. I love this tank :D

Time for Flatworm eXit. Love the look of the tank though. Great colors and i love the grown out corals, makes it look much more natural.

I do dose manually.

Thanks Croc. I would rather get them out manually and then dose the exit. I'm not really to worried about them.
