Diamond Watchman Goby

I bought a watchman goby about 2 weeks ago, acclimated him and put in the tank. He immediately hid in the rockwork which I expected. I have not seen him until tonight where I saw him still hiding under the rockwork. I had assumed he had died since I hadn't seen him until now. Anyone else know if this is normal behavior. My stocklist is 1 false percula clown, 1 lawnmower blenny, 1 orchid dottyback, 1 flame hawk, and a blue damsel. I suspect that either the damsel or hawk may be picking on him and keeping him hidden but I've never seen any aggression between any of the fish. I added the flame hawk and goby at the same time.

Mine is long established, hides in the rockwork, and I have on multiple occasions after periods of no sightings just assumed it's died ..... only to see the face that only a mother can love. When I do see him, I make it a point to target feed with a nice big chunk of krill or shrimp.

:headwally::headwally::headwally:Just my luck, I got him to keep the sand stirred and cleaner and I get one that has stage fright.

When I first got mine it was in a 55 gallon tank. I also have a starry blenny, and the blenny did not like the goby, so the goby stayed hidden most of the time.
I upgraded to a 210, and there is lots more room. The goby is out all the time now, and the blenny could care less.

Blenny might be the issue. Mine never hides. He is out sifting sand all day or hanging with my dwarf golden moray.

mine laid low for the first week or so, after that the little *** became a bulldozer and wouldn't stop covering up all my corals that were in the substrate.
