Did I just do something terrible? Hydnophora and Melafix

I just dosed my 55g with 20mL of Melafix to treat a fish that I can't catch to put in QT.

My hydnophora's polyps have scrunched up, and some of my xenia is also scrunched up. I hope I didn't do any permanent damage.

Does anybody have any insight on this matter?

You dosed this in your reef tank with live rock ect ?

Sorry I'm just not one to use any meds in my reef tanks even if they say safe.

I used it. Yes, I have live rock, a ton of it. My purple psuedochromis looked scraped up and not doing well, but still eating. I put this stuff in there, thinking it would help.

I have the lights turned off. I just checked the Hydno., and he does look better, not as scary as it first looked. Do fish traps work? He is impossible to catch with the LR.

You will be fine. I dosed it for 2 weeks straight in my tank. Corals will close up and maybe slime a bit first few hours. Should be fine after a bit.

I was using to try and treat corals opposed to fish. Some corals showed improvement with it, but turns out it wasnt bacterial related.

Best to treat in qt even if you have to drastically lower water level to catch the fish. Corals will survive a brief water-lowering fine---meds, not so safely.

I would try a vitamin induced food if he is eating, try blue lagoon worked like a charm with some sick fish I had. This is a medicated food for salt water fish you mix it with water then freeze it, and then feed.

I always wondered about soaking flake food. Freezing makes sense.

I am ordering Prazi-pro. Does anybody think that will hurt my Hydno. or montiporas. I am seriously dreading trying to catch my ill little fish. Even if I did drain the tank significantly, he would slip into some hole. I would have to take out huge pieces of live rock with corals attached in order to get this booger out.
