Did it tear its foot ?

Sorry for the HORRIBLE picture, I know it's going to make diagnosis difficult...

I've had this clam for 6 months and it's always been happy. It fell off its perch over the weekend and it looks like it left a chunk of something behind - did it tear its foot? It looks like its still attached to the rock, should I attempt to move it or leave it alone?

it's just it's byssal threads ,it will grow them back.

do you think i should try and flop it back onto the rock or will that tear what is still attached?

try to put it back,but if it starts to rip then stop
