Did Kent tech M formula change?

Hi all. Back to war with bryopsis again and been wondering if kents tech m formula changed? Brought mag up from 1350 to 1800 and still no effects on the bryopsis. Usually they are white and melting away by now. I heard somewhere that Kent changed formula but I also heard that they said they didn't. Just noticed that the tech m is clear and goes in to the tank clear. The other bottles I had used to turn milky when it touched that water. Anyone else noticed this? Maybe I should try Continuum's mag supplement?

Odd thst it is coming out of the bottle clear. Not to belabor thr obvious, but you did shake it before pouring, correct? My current bottle pours cloudy. I am not using for GHA control. Thsrt stuff only grows in my sump an don the lip of my overflow.

I am not aware of any formula changes, but I know that Kent has always maintained that the product is not intended for algae control and has no speculated on why it has that effect on GHA. I think Tech M is the only magesium product that people have gotten this result from.

Maybe they isolated what was specifically killing the bryopsis, removed it, and will be selling it separately for 50$ a bottle. :P

From what I've heard the formula has changed. But the original tech-m is now called continuum magnesium. Kent's other spin off brand.

Yep always give it a good shake to get all the good stuff suspended. The last 3 bottles I used were all clear with no residue on the bottom of the bottle.

I think I heard it was. I would look in the chemistry forum, they have a thread on it.

Will do. Shoots I always forget about that forum lol!

I'm at the point where I'd pay double that to get rid of this stuff lol! I'm sure if someone could figure it out, they'd make a killing.

I heard that he left and started his own line of supplements. Hopefully people have gotten the same results with continuum as OG tech m. Seems harder to find as No lfs around me carries that line so internet it is. Hopefully it works!

Hello guys I don't mean to hijack this thread but I think I also might have byropsis in my tank. I've been reading many forums and some people have success with the lettuce nudibranch. Enchelycore808 have you tried out any natural method to remove this ? My blue tang won't touch this stuff

Nope. From what I can tell, not many things eat it and what does is kinda hit or miss. I heard foxface and emerald crabs do but not sure.
