dinos, how to rid my tank of them

I keep my Ph up by using kalk for my auto top off. The tank gets about 2 1/4 gallons of kalk per day.

I got a very small area about 1/2"now i siphoned them off tonight.
Not bad is now been three weeks that i had the lights off for three day. I wait another two weeks and do one more three day dark period.

I'm not sure whats doing the trick, mainly the lights, but either the pH going up through kalk, or chemipure, or something mucky was in my chiller!
