Discoloration on flame angel

I recently purchased a healthy looking flame angel from my LFS. The fish seams to have settled in nicely and is feeding and acting perfectly normal. However, a week after being in my tank I noticed a slight discoloration on the forehead area of the fish, as if you had rubbed or smudged soot on the fish, causing a charcoal looking blemish.

I have never seen anything, or read anything similar to this. The fish continues to act normally. My first thought was something associated with its capture, i.e. cyanide.
Anybody have any similar experiences or obsevations.

If you can post a picture of the animal. It might the beginnings of HLLE. Try soaking his food in garlic for 20 min. Just keep feeding, hopefully it will go away.

I'm only guessing, it's hard to diagnose without seeing the animal. I would go a head and remove to a sick tank, treat for seven days with Furan2.
