well i got given a regal blue tang yesterday. and for the 1st few hours ( b4 i went to work ) it was fine swimming around etc ) but overnight its completley hidden itself. ive had a look in all the little crevices nd caves and holes in the tank with a torch and still cant see it .it hasnt jumped ( ive checked all over the place ) is it normal for them to hide so much ?? ( and b4 ppl say the tank isnt big enough, im getting a custom 6 foot tank in feb for my bday :P )

The other (if you have other) fish in the tank may have harrassed it into hiding. Damsels can be little buggers from time to time. They might get it all sorted out but that is my guess.

I have a large conch shell that my hippo hides in all the time. If you didn't know it you would never find her when she is hiding. This is my second hippo and they both have done the exact same thing. I lost my first one because of something stupid that I did. The one I have now seems just as sensitive and I worry. Watch yours closely because confinement is hard on this fish even if it is for just a couple of months. I have mine in a 90 (4 foot) and she may be coming out very soon. We'll see.

the fish isnt even 2" long at the mo. and yeh the damsel harrased it big time. so i took it out and put it in my old tank. i cnt even find the tang at the mo. should i rip the tank appart nd make sure it hasnt got itself stuck ? or should i not worry as much and just leave it be ??
