Hello..looking for some DIY suggestions or ideas to build my own 20gl sump. Will use DCP pump. Basically looking for help on building the left side drip area, etc where water enters the sump...it looks like the DIY links are outdated
First chamber can be as simple as a single double strength glass baffle raised 1" off the bottom and 1" from the top is fine... Regular acetoxy cure silicone is fine (GE type 1,etc...)
.220" acrylic can be used too with neutral cure silicone intended for acrylic sheets. (Must fully cure the silicone before exposure to water/marine life)
I have done several diy sumps. problem is the baffels. The are so close together that is is difficult to attach them with enough dope that it doesnt end up bowing the acrylic. Im just going to go ahead and buy a decent used on for my new tank build.
