It's a build thread of sorts but all I've done thus far myself is glue some leds down and drank some beer at Shawn's.

Dillon Shawn and Kyle are the masterminds on this build. I'm gonna try to do something I swear.

On to pictures.

Heatsinks cut to size.

Installed. Great job I must say.

Shawn did some doodling while kyle mapped the leds... Vetoing basically my entire drawing. Ha

So finally I did something and I used the thermal adhesive to glue the chips down.

The colors we are going to use. All three heat sinks have the same configuration. I think the plan is to use 4 drivers. 3 for the Royal and Cool Blues, and 1 for the rest.

MH will be- 2 x 250w DE Phoenix 14k on 2 Galaxy Selectawatt Ballasts.

T5's- 2 ATI Blue Plus , 1 ATI Coral Plus, and 1 ATI Purple Plus.

The T5 timer was removed and the ballast rewired... all T5's are on one ballast and will be controlled by my apex along with the rest of the lights.

Very cool Cody
I might do the same with my extra one.
The other one will be 120 diode led and t5 hybrid

Nice Cody, do you order the heat sinks or you cut them???? Heat relief my not be a big issue but are you hole saw the light fixture ?

Someone cut the heat sinks for me and installed them with a little fabrication and stand offs.

The fixture has two fans above the halides but I was considering adding two tiny computer fans to the holes where the timers were located to blow more air through the fixture.

You can actually use the LEDs powers source from the fixture to replaced the 3 leds with 3 fans . At least, that is what I will be doing and its works.

Cody. Did you notice that you can almost remove the halide and slide in an aqua illumination . If I recall messing with the prototype it was about an 1/8 of and inch to clear. To me it could have been the best fixture on the market but it got nixxed.

On my Current MH/T5 fixture iv removed the Mh and I'm gonna install my AI into that section

M buddy installed 3 ai Sol into the fixture

Yeah Richard we've been butchering these for a few weeks now. Juan did that and it looks great. For 250 dollars tho I'm getting approx. 150 w of five color leds so it made sense to me going this route. Plus I have a lot of smart friends as I couldn't have done this on my own.

What? You glued them...
I do like the Snap On tools.
How do you like the color?

Hey Billy I used this stuff-

Can't take credit on the tools, Shawn works on Helicopters and all kinds of gadgets so that's all him. I don't know yet we plan to get it finished up tonight so I'll have to report back.

I still don't have the cat 5 cable for the apex connections a couple other things.

I'm gonna be able to dim them all. I'd like to have that functionality... But your right may run close to 100 percent on the blues anyways.

Got a little done tonight. Here's a pic of the blues at 80 percent. Proly not much more till next week.
