I think I got a badge batch of the thermal adhesive as over time the led chips are coming loose... ugh. Gonna contact the vendor and see if I can get some new tubes sent. We cleaned the heatsinks well so not sure what the problem could be if not the adhesive.

I bought mine from ebay the same one i use before
as promise this is My first prototype
I have the materials to build another one but it might be too much for my tank
So I might go with 2 24"or 30" maristar fixture or something similar.
The fixtures
120 diodes LEDs
66 royal blues
10 reds
30 white
10 green
And 4 violets
4* 54 watts t5
Maristar sls case
My number concern is heat since t5 produce so much heat and the 6 fans Inside is working hard

Just drill it and use #2 screws, Cody. You may want to use plastic washers. I believe there is a write up on rapidled or was it ledreeflights.
Cody, was it a two-part adhesive? Sometimes if you don't mix it right that could happen.

Nah 1 part from Steve's LED, I sent them an email. Haven't heard back yet.
But I did notice this stuff has a shelf life so maybe I got some old adhesive. Not sure.
Dang tap and screw 51 leds? Maybe I should after this hassle.

If an LED goes out, it'll be easy to replace if it's tapped

Almost there, just have to hang it, attach the apex dimming cables, and program the leds to the apex.
I used thermal adhesive for the lenses, they are 60 degrees. The violets don't have a lense.
I'm gonna try to hang it tonight. I'll probably just run the T5s for now until I find time to do the rest.

I'm probably in this more like 750 actually, we added 3 more fans above the led heat sinks and tied them into the others, added a knob to adjust their speed, and some other odds and ends like quick connectors etc.

Very nice. It would interesting to see what the PAR numbers are when everything is on.

I have one I'll let you all know what I get. I don't plan on ever running everything together but for a test lets see what this baby can do.

Light is up running the t5s only. My tank looks like poo but just in time for RAP gonna get me some sweet pieces. Chad at Coral gazers saved my butt and is holding some of my nice zoas and palys. Man that fluke tab treatment worked but I smoked so many corals it's sad really I wouldn't recommend anyone doing that to be honest. Oh we'll that's the fun of it right?

Oh and off topic but this waveline dc 6000 is super quiet but doesn't put out the flow as advertised so anyone looking for one keep that in mind.
