DIY Radion Hanging solutions?

I'm going to be hanging these inside a canopy. The back is completely open, and the top will be heavily vented. They will be 10" off the water.

Looking for DIY solutions people have come up with (hood, or no hood).

Also, as long as I use the same sized M5-0.8mm threaded bolts, they should fasten fine to whatever I configure, correct?

Thanks

hey bud. 1/2" conduit bent, sanded, prepped and painted. Short of an acrylic arm this looks great. stop over anytime to take a look.

[forgive the red zip ties, I was out of black]

I wanted to use my canopy as well when I switched over to Radions, but I didn't want to attach them directly to the canopy.
I wanted to be able to remove the lights with out having to pick up my heavy canopy.
I found a product called eztube.
Square powder coated aluminum tube with connectors.

Real easy to work with and very sturdy.

I don't have a pic ATM, but I'll explain my setup.

I used the rail kit for two radions and hung them from the ceiling with the following. I used the smallest diameter cable from lowes I believe 1/16th. I ran this through the eyelets of the radion and then crimped it. At the ceiling, I used Screw eye hooks which screw into ceiling anchors rated for 75lbs. I took the wire and made a loop at the other end and crimped it. I then use S hooks to connect the cable loop to the screw eye. That's it. About $5 in supplies. Very clean look. Very sturdy.

I believe these are best way to have full x, y adjustment control.

These are the parts.

These are sliders, this slides on the railing giving you x, y adjustment control.

T-Slots they come in 6 ft section, can be ordered to cut size, cost is $6.00 per 6ft.

Video of my setup.

Can you take some photos of the setup, I see it on the video but can't conceptually get it in my mind. Going to order this exact setup.

Thanks for the info!

This is pretty awesome! I'd like to order the same thing as well, which part holds the Radion to the sliders? In the video, your Radions are mounted to some plate that looks like it is screwed into the sliders that fit in the T-Slots.

Looks nice.
I think I would cut down on cost and just use the front to back slide as I can't think of a time I have ever needed to move the lights side to side.

Great Idea though

Video one, at the 10 second mark. I showed the plate you need to make.
The flat bars was cut at 11 1/4 inch long.

Need to buy 2 inch 1/8 thick flat bar Home depot sells them for $10 for 3 ft.
You will need to make the plate and drill the holes.

The 3 center holes line up perfectly with the sliders 3 holes.
The 2 outside holes, is where the radions are attached.

Video 2 shows the plate connected to the radions.

Serves me right for not watching video 1! I thought video 1 was the same as the one in this thread. Thanks again!

For what it's worth, here's how I hung my vertex illumina. Can't see why it wouldn't work for your radion $ less than 20.00
