do pompom xenia's hands regenerate after being sick?

my powerhead overpowered my pompom xenia and the hands look thinner or is that just my imagination? this happens when they're sick right? their hands become less fluffier? are they able to grow their hands back to looking fully fluffy again?

As long as it's got a shred of base left, it probably will.

Xenia is very resilient and grows like a weed. I wouldn't be too worried about it as long as your water parameters are in check. Side note for the future, it is a softy not an LPS coral. You may have better luck by posting photos and your question again in the soft coral keepers section of the forum.
