Doc 9440 skimmer

This skimmer has been great until one of the hydrofoamer pumps failed[my fault lack of care]. ordered a new one hooked it up and it over flows like crazy. noticed I ordered the wrong one it shows pump 9430.04 at 24 watts, oh that's my problem. so ordered the correct one 9420.04 at 16 watts installed that one guess what it still over flows big time! what am I doing wrong! Help Please!

Is it possible the longer stand pipe was installed? The 9440 came with the 9420 and 9440 pipes so you could run it as a 9420 if a pump was down. Too high of a water level can also be a cause.

using the smaller pipe I missed placed the longer one was going to try and use one pump only noticed tunze spare parts does not sell the longer pipe any more. will try bringing the water level down it's just above the fine tune ring about and inch.

Bring it down to where about 1/4 of the pump is above the water.
