Does anyone T off main return

Does anyone T off their main return, to supply everything else? I have a large return pump ,and I don't need to to push all the flow back to the tank. I'm going with the Maxi Jet mods to give me enough water movement in my display tank. I want to cut some of the other pumps out of the system,to conserve on power consumption. I live in a stilt home,and my sump room is down stairs ,so I do need a large return pump to overcome the head.

Check my thread for a pic of a manifold I created for a Sequence 3200. I run my fuge, phosban reactor, chiller, acclimation, Ca reactor, and main return off of the one pump. It works great.

When I plumb my new nano, I will be adding one 1/2" tap on the return line to be used later for chemical reactors or a chiller.
