Does this still count as a nano?-- 40gal breeder inwall

Well Im going to be upgrading in about 3 weeks and just wanted to make a log of it.
It will be a 40gal breeder (which I still have to buy) and I choose that because I really like the size of it, I hate the depth of my 29 and want more space for aquascape, and clams. It will also use my 29gal as sump.
Equipment-
250W 20K Metal Hailide with 2 65W pc actinics
JBJ A.T.O.
CCS 125 skimmer
Mag 7 return
Along with other things that I already have
It will have close to 40lbs of live rock. Mostly SPS, and a few LPS and softies.
What do you think, it should be really cool, Ill update it when I get some more pics.

Ya, Im going to get the 40, I am going to love the depth. It cost 120 though, so that is about 6 xeina frags becuase I alreadly have a $65 credit.
Im so pumped, but it might take a withle to get up!

Last night I made the baffles for the sump, and also the new brace. first compartment is skimmer, then fuge, then return.

Whatcha think?

haha i dont see why a 40g wouldnt be considered a nano... the ocean is how many gallons?

Ya, I thought that everything under 55 was nano. Im so pumped for this tank!
I get the 40 this weekend for $81, I have to buy sand, and some more LR.

The 40gal comes in today, but the closest dicent LFS is about 50 min away, so Ill be getting it this weekend. I also have to buy more sand, any suggestions, I have a goby that likes to sand sift, so it has to be fine, I dont remember the stuff I have in tank know, but it is alright to change.

Get live sand it will cycle your tank faster.

Nah, that stuff is expensive, Im going to use new sand, and seed it with live sand that I have already, and it doesnt really need to cycle because about 29 of the total 65-70gal will be water that I have in my tank now. Along with LR.

That would work. I still would give it about a week to get settled before you add anthing in.

how did you seal the "baffles" in your fuge?

I actually havent yet, but there is this stuff at HD or ace near the caulk that is aquarium selant, and it is safe for fresh and salt water, just smear it up and down the sides for a good and strong seal.

I got the 40 today and also sand. Im pretty ****ed though because I didnt get near as much for my xenia as I usally do, so then I had to pay $30 out of pocket for it. Oh well, I have fallen in love with the depth of the tank, cant wait to set it up, but it could be a week or too. I also have to get some more LR and the metal halides.

Ya, yestday and today i sealed the baffles, it looks really nice, but I think its going to be put on hold for maybe 2-3 weeks.
