dogface and powerheads

What kind of overflows do you have ? built in or H.O.B ? because I'm thinking you might be able to hid the power heads in side of the ovver flows . depending on how you have that set up . I would just love to help you figure out a way to keep the power heads going and have the addition of a puffer in your tank. They are just so much fun and add such personality to the mix.

mitzel , if your asking me I have a stock 60 gall no sump just a hob and power heads and live rock.I will try another puff someday, maybe with a better set up:) because they sure are neat!

i guess i am a member of this club also. I had a dogface that got stuck on a mj 1200 in my 75. i freaked out when i saw him and turned off the powerhead. i moved the power head to another tank and walked by and saw a yellow damsel swim by and he got sucked up. Since then i have all of my power heads with a cover on them. Ben

I have to break down my tank and move in a couple of months and I already drilled my tank and put in an overflow but I might see about drilling it for a closed loop will it is empty. I can put the intake on the inside of my overflow box. It would make it nice not to have to scrub my rock so often. I currently have a stripe puffer and a porcupine that replaced my dogface that was killed.
