We have a meeting date and place:
Scott from Oddballs with his surprise frag bag
On the UCO campus in Edmond
Saturday, May 14

Bonus: frag demonstration on a beautiful war coral before Scott speaks.
EVERY paid member present gets a frag!!!!

So double your chances of walking out the door with beautiful corals.

Best part:
Getting to see each other and swap tall tales.

As always, I'll be putting up coral pics of things avail in the tank each day.
PM with those things you have interest in adopting.

Anybody coming for a piece of this coral and an entertaining talk from our friend and Sponsor, Scott?

Haven't yet seen what Scott is bringing (feel free to post anything Scott),
But I know every Comas member gets a piece of this:

I have that little devil voice in my head that keeps sayin', "why should you take that whole thing to the meeting? It looks so nice in your tank."

Good start. that will knock a corner off the coral.

Surely there will be more............

Rick/Staci---- any tank updates?

Monday additions

Monday additions

We usually go species specific the first day. So lets change things up a little on a cooler than usual beginning to May:

This piece was donated with nothing but dark green color.
After a couple months and changing some of the bulbs in the tank,
it has begun to show some color in the mouths.
You'll be taking the chance as to what colors may show up.
If there is interest, I'll cut it in half and give it to the first 2 seekers:

A new variation of the branching frog spawn.
This is also purple tipped, but is very light green.
I will also have the darker available later in the week:

Pertaining to the donor program:

1) the rule of 5:

In order to help have frags available for everyone,
we request you not have out more than 5 frags at any one time. If you have out 5 and return 3 (of the frags you checked out, not other donations) you may check out 3 more.

2) receiving corals from the donor program:

1) you need to be a current year paid COMAS member;

2) you need to have a stable tank with
the appropriate equipment/lighting to keep the frag alive;
<O:p</O:p
3) you need to be willing to grow the frag until it propogates naturally
or you can frag it, then bring a frag back to the program;<O:p</O:p

4) you need to be willing to return the corals you haven't fragged if you break down your tank;<O:p</O:p

5) please inform the fragmaster if you loose a coral (hey, it happens);<O:p</O:p

6) you are encouraged to join those that help keep this program going by donating to the program as you trim frags from your tank(s).
