Well, I had 4 rose anemones, one of which was about 10" across this oral disk. As I have a 55 at this point, that was a bit too much anemone to be in there w/ 3 others that are about 6" across.

I called one of my LFS and asked if they would give me store credit for it. They said yes. I then started teasing it from the rock it was on, slowly. I've had success with this before.

Luck was not with me as I tore it. Dammit.

I cut it in half at the tear to see if it can recover and become two. This is a tank propagated anemone (they all are, clones) so I think it has a good chance of recovering. All of my parameters are excellent.

There may be a couple of rose anemones available in the Fargo area in a few months... :P

At any rate, just thought I'd post about that. Me = dumb.

I know that when BTA's are fragged, the cut is through the mouth (the way they divide when they clone).

I did make the cut through the mouth. When I was home for lunch today I checked on it and it's fully expanded and looks good. Time will tell.

If I can get a decent picture maybe I'll post one later.

I tried to get a pic of it but I can't tell which one(s) it is amoungst all of the waving tentacles. I guess that's a good sign :)

Here's a picture of the herd. I can't tell for sure which ones it was.

I just did a water change so please excuse all of the tiny bubbles.

Great pics. All look healthy, so almost certainly the one you fragged will bounce back. Aren't they amazing?
