I'm upgrading my 75 fowlr to a 125 w/ a 75 sump. I have a pair of ocellaris clowns that are a confirmed pair now. These 2 are nasty little guys so I was going to seperate them either in the sump or another small tank plumbed to the whole system. I really like the idea of them hosting something but I don't have halide lights I've got pc lights (fowlr, so...). after reading the anemone faq I figured maybe it was worth asking: would a pair of ocellaris host something artificial, like an artificial anemone/decoration?

I think they might. I have heard of clownfish hosting powerheads.

Those would be my picassos :(

I've heard of them hosting artificial anemones as well, although its really uncommon. Otherwise, they'll host other lower light demanding corals like star polyps... or, apparently a powerhead works sometimes lol. One of my perculas is hosting an umbrella mushroom even though He's got 5 anemones to choose from, 3 RBTA's, a purple LT and a white condy(which is currently hosted by a maroon, odd, I know). Sometimes fish, placed in unnatural environments, behave unnaturally.

They're really not that picky..

I agree on the GSP, xenia, or mushrooms. Those will do perfectly fine under PC lights and will eventually take over the tank. Chances are the clowns will at least sleep in those at night.

I love the clown fish in the clip, he has just seen the clips that look like clowns and he thought that is how they got that way...lol

Before i got my anemones, my ocellaris used to live in my Xenia. Before that they had taken to a silk plant..... (i've since gotten rid of the plant... ;-) )
