Looks good. Your closed loop setup is giving me ideas on making my returns closer to the sand level.

Great build so far Doug! Everything is looking awesome. I love the stock tank o' coral.

Anyhow, what bulbs and ballasts are you running? The coloration is great.

Whats the difference in a hammerhead and the gold hammerhead?

The gold is suppose to be quieter and run cooler. So I look forward to seeing what it will do.

Glad you are enjoying the build. The bulbs are just 14k with Icecaps.

Made some good progress over the 3 day weekend. I was called out to work and so wasn't able to get as much as I had hoped. Pretty much done with the rock work. Spent the day cleaning the old sand from the 156 and added some new sand as well. Been making up water, doing plumbing and hopefully getting ready fire this bad boy up. Sorry, I don't think the pictures really do the rock work justice. I ran out of the dry and had to fill in with live. I will be seeding with other live rock as well.

Looks awsum!! Quick observation, I like your rock work, but are you going to have enough area for your coral placement?

Thanks Greg. Oh yes, I have plenty of ledges and places to place coral. I have added some rock in front to build up and also plan to add more. Also have some of the ledges on the back wall drilled out for more add on ledges. The last pic is hard to see. I will post more pics later. Even after adding more space for coral I do want alot of hiding spots, caves and tunnels for fish. I want plenty of open area for grow out of coral and swimming room for fish.

Thanks Roman.

Just got my new Super Reef Octopus XP-5000 Cone Skimmer in today. I have had my eye on this. Pump is the Bubble Blaster. I will post more pics once I have it set up running on the system.

Doug I have been running that exact skimmer for a few months now and love it. I will try to post some pics in my build thread later so you can see the great performance on these skimmers.

Yes the skimmer is sweet. Look forward to having it up and running. I will look on your build thread at your pics. I have heard great things about them.

Looking good, Doug!

Thanks George. How is your tank doing? My neptune apex comes in soon.

Looks tiny

can't wait to see it fired up

Lynn this thing is so tiny. Hope to have some pics soon to post.

no way it looks HUGE... compared to the couch behind it

It is good size I would say and it does compare to the orca 250 I run on the frag system. The xp-5000 is just a bit smaller.
