it says you can find the Dowflake at Home Depot for about $12 for 50 pounds. Well I live in the south and Home Depot told me they do not carry it. Im guessing since it is used as a deicer it is primarily found in the north...at Home Depot. Does anyone know another place to find this stuff, in the south.....particularly in North Carolina?

I found the Prestone Driveway Heat in Cary at Lowes (had to go to 6 stores before finding it). According to Randys recipe....for the magnesium (3rd part)...I am to, "Dissolve Epsom salts (3 cups) and magnesium chloride hexahydrate (5 cups) in enough purified freshwater to make 1 gallon total volume."
Where do I find magnesium chloride hexahydrate???

you can use pure epson salts. i did. around here its hard to find magnesium chloride hexahydrate. i havent really looked that much.
