Anyone have the address of where we're going, so I can mapquest it?
Keep in mind that our event starts at 1pm, and goes till???
Thier retail store hours on Saturday are 9-5. You might consider getting there a few minutes early so you can visit the shop before the event. Here is a link to store info and driving directions if you do not have them yet.
Well we decided not to leave until this AM, so if anyone wants to ride up w/ us I can fit 2-3 comfortably. There's a small chance I might stay the night, depending on when we get done and if I buy anything. It could make for a more comfortable trip up, even if I decide to stay. Just give me a call. 815 914 5453
it was great. loved everything about the tripp. the skimmer came out handy. my old one was having problems. i learn lots of things specialy how to frag corals. love the free one i got
It was an awesome event! Being able to see the Divers Den items in person and also purchase them right there online was fantastic. Thanks to a great company and it's wonderful staff for opening the doors to our club!
Yeah, congrats on that one Andrea. How much space do you have at your place? Can you set up an auto top off system?
This is by far the best maintance thing you can do IMO. Stable salinity and no lugging buckets. Let me know if you are interested. The site I got my plans from is gone, but I can walk you through it and help you out. Never worry about top off again
Rob, thanks for the offer to help. I'm more concerned with seeing if I can convert it to hook into my faucet so I don't have to go into the plumbing. I'm gonna try to take a look tonight, Tom gave me some guidance on how to do it. I would just love to never have to drag buckets again. Plus, I'll have no excuse for not doing water changes anymore!
I Frag'd Some Zoa's I got up there tonight. Ill post photos once they all reopen. My Clam is lookin stellar along with my baseball size pink/white Birdnest and the free Acro frag. I took about 125 photos of the corals, clams, and the troughs from the event.
It was a great time getting to see the facitlities and critters at Drs. F & S. I also enjoyed getting to know a few of you better during the trip there and back. Thanks Dave, for driving a group of us up in your van. It was cool to hear stories from everybody and to be able to snooze a little on the way home since I was going on 4 hours of sleep from the night before.
I also had a great time. I was glad to be able to drive a group of us up there. It saved on gas, and the lively conversations helped keep the trip interesting.
The corals I picked up are all looking good, and in fact the Montiora I picked up looks even better in my tank. It appeared to have brown polyps, but in fact they are green.
