Hello RC I have recently bought a M60 and going to add ready mixed salt water this week and going to start the cycling I have got DR Tim's 1 and only with his Ammonia Choloride. I have watched multiple videos of people using it and they do stuff so different so it gets a little confusing. wondering if anybody has used it and would give abit of advice. Thank you:thumbsup:

Day 1 Add the bacteria then add 4 drops per gallon Ammonia Per gallon of tank water that will kick the cycle off

Now make sure you test the water before you start I logged everyday for two weeks some people are different they have they own way of doing so

If your using live sand aspect for your Ammonia To be high For A couple of days in the chart it says
Day 2 test ph,NH3,N02 Day 3 Add More Ammonia
Once you add ammonia the first day Don't not add anymore until your levels come down to 0 I waited Until my levels Came down To 0.5 ppm then added another 4 drops per gallon of Ammonia waited, But like I said I Test Everyday so I was seeing a change in my water and it was working

Don't be alarmed when u see that your levels are not changing as fast everybody tank is different I didn't see Change to my NH3/N02 until day 7 it seems like it would never move from 0.5 ppm but on day 7 it did move up to 1 ppm also don't expect for your test kit to read 2 ppm Ammonia All you Wanna do is add 4 drops per Gallon equaling to 2 ppm. You have to have some Patience

Day 15 I did a water change only taking water from the top of the tank do not disturb the sand in your tank you don't want to remove the bacteria you just added to the system

Note: The concentration of their ammonia product has changed a few times so its best to not specify an exact drop amount but to instead read the directions on the specific bottle you have and dose ammonia up to 2ppm MAX... (1ppm is just fine too and what I would initially shoot for..)

At this point you really can't find a bottle of dr Tim's ammonia that says one drop per gallon anymore that's the reason I stated 4 drops

But like you said the directions on the bottle will tell you either 1 drop or 4 drops per gallon so please read the directions first on the ammonia
