Dragons breath

Hi everyone, i recent recieve a dragons breath afew days ago but when i got it the water in the bag was kinda light redish and when i put the macro algea in the tank the top and the branching leaf part was all orange. Now it is melting/dying. Will the rest grow back or is it done. Thanks... Also are dragons breath a fast grower?

I don't have experience with that plant. I have had another red arrive in red water, and it died. It showed the same symptoms of bright color before dying. You may try fragging any remaining good parts to see if you can save it.

This plant doesn't ship well and tends to die back. Once it is established it seems to be easy but I have had it die back even when moving it from tank to tank.

Thanks guys, do you know the name of the other red macro algea next to it? It really grows fast n easy, i also like that it self attaches to rocks within a day.

I think it's Gracilaria hayi which I have in my tank and it grows at a medium rate, maybe even slow, but it's very hearty. Look at this and tell us if this is what you have:

Thanks, i think its Gracilaria Mammilaris. It looks more like this one.
