Redone setup unveiling!

My computer is still in the process of being set back up so I finally knuckled down and used the hubby's laptop for this. Couldn't wait any longer! lol

Here is a link to info on my prior history if curious. Link

The 125g has now been relocated. It was on a wall in the living room but is now "built in" to the 5ft doorway that used to separate our living room and dining room. All plumbing was revamped to the basement sump as the sump had to be relocated to the other side of the basement. I also took the opportunity to have the tank drilled for a 1500gph glass-holes.com overflow and purchased two penductors for the two return lines. This setup really cranks out some flow! The first time I turned on the plumbing I had to run back downstairs and dial down the flow as the penductors were shooting water out the other side of the canopy

Here are some pics of the new overflow setup for those that may not have caught that thread.

Here's a pic from the dining room side prior to me running the plumbing across the inside of the stand and closing it in.

Here's a pic from the living room side showing the four built in shelves prior to final trim being done.

All three of these pics were taking from the living room view and during a nasty bacterial bloom hence the badly clouded water.

I'll try to get some updated pics within the week showing the current status and including the finished trim work and pics of the stack from the dining room view.

Thank you :) I personally don't think the rock stack is all that special but that's because I was thinking long term. I wanted to keep the ends open due to the way the flow cycles around the whole tank, wanted to keep the top section open for coral growth, had to stack right down the middle to allow for side growth and had to include 3 caves for the tangs to sleep in. The fact that I accomplished all of those goals amazes me in and of itself. I do think the view from the other side is more pleasing so I'll have to snap to it w/ getting more pics.

I'm very glad to see a lot of thought went into the scaping. Too many times when I google image search "reef tanks" do i see a massive wall of rock, allowing no growth and restricting flow.

I think when the tank fills up, and grows in, you will be very pleasantly surprised!

...looks nice mel!

I was JUST looking at your tank info the other day and wondering when you were gonna start a thread, as mentioned. Glad to see it's coming along well. You have a PM coming your way! ;)

Thanks guys! :)

how big is that chalice? looks like a really nice piece

The bottom rim of that chalice is larger than the palm of my hand. It is a bright neon pink with a teal background. Got it from Tom at TRS a couple years back and have fragged it a few times. ;)

Grrr... I moved the prior tank pics in Photobucket forgetting the links get broken in the process.
